Summer Overwhelm…Missing?

Summer Overwhelm…Missing?

Summer overwhelm!

That’s what this blog post was about 5 minutes ago. 5 great tips to help you (and me) avoid the overwhelm and feel accomplished in between dealing with kids running in/0ut of the house, cars breaking down, baseball tournaments, dance & cheer practices, parades, summer camps and life slapping you over the head (or as some say, God laughing at you because you tried to plan something without consulting HIS schedule).

But it’s gone. Missing. Disappeared.

And that brings me to my REAL issue. I am really struggling with this 30 day blog challenge. I am just not sure, with everything in my life, that I have the attention span to do something for 30 days.

And if that’s true, how could I possibly expect myself to be any more successful than I am now???

I am pretty sure that as difficult as it is, it is very important for me to learn how to stay focused to the end of a project. In fact, as I write this, I am sure that my team will LOL (laugh out loud, for those of you without kids) when they read this.

So here is my public commitment. I WILL complete the 30 Day Blogging Bonanza that I created a few weeks ago. (I will even commit to TWO extra days to compensate for last weekend which flew by without a post from me.)

And I can already tell you it does everything I said it would.

  • I am now getting 2-3 times more new subscribers everyday than I was before.
  • I am getting great comments on Twitter, Facebook and my blog about the short articles.
  • I am making new, cool friends.
  • And I have cool people calling me up wanting to do business with me! (that’s money in my pocket)

So it works. I know. And I will continue.

How’s it going for you?

PS. What tips do you have for warding off the “summer overwhelm”? It would be great to hear YOUR thoughts and perhaps it would jog my memory for the 5 cool tips I thought of, wrote in a cool blog post, then lost and promptly forgot…

Meet me for lunch TODAY!

Meet me for lunch TODAY!

We all know how beneficial networking can be for our business, but as a busy solo-professional it’s not always convenient or possible to spend precious time attending networking functions. Plus how many of those events are filled with entrepreneurs just like us who understand the challenges and thrills of being a H0me-based business mom?

Not many, I know!

I am excited to announce that I’ve been invited to be on the Advisory Expert Panel for the brand new National Association of H0me-Based Business Moms – “NAHBM.” The NAHBM, which supports moms in business, is kicking off with a fr*ee Virtual Networking Luncheon on March 31st (tomorrow)! I would like to invite you to participate.

This Virtual Networking Luncheon is a fr*ee call and is a great opportunity to meet and network with other like-minded women, find out what NAHBM is all about, and get your questions about running a successful H0me-based business answered.

JOIN ME, BRING YOUR LUNCH (I will have mine) and meet 10 AMAZING MOMPRENEURS!

I am so excited to be a part of NAHBM because their focus is on the three key areas that I know are critical to building a successful H0me-based business and happy life as a working mom: Empowerment, Education, and Enlightenment.

Plus, NAHBM’s panel of experts will be sharing information and tips in all the areas that are important to us moms, NOT just business. So in addition to sharing information on topics such as marketing and sales, you’ll also learn tips on parenting, health and fitness, time management and getting organized, and much, much more.
And, your first Virtual Networking Luncheon is on NAHBM!
That means you don’t have to be a member to participate in this kickoff call. We want to give you a chance to come to a meeting, see what we’re all about and meet some of our members and experts.

To learn more or attend, simply go to http://sn.im/nahbm and register for the NAHBM Fr*ee Special Report and weekly ezine. When you do, you will also receive call-in details for the Virtual Networking Luncheon on March 31, 2009 at 11am PT (2pm ET).

If you can’t make the call, you can still register for the Special Report and complimentary ezine subscription where you’ll receive tips and advice every single week from me, and the other 15 NAHBM Experts, to help you make the most of your business and your life.
I hope to “see” you on tomorrow!!

‘THE MILLIONAIRE MOMS-AT-HOME CLUB’

FOUR STRATEGIES FOR CREATING SUCCESS AT HOME BY
STAY-AT-HOME-MOM & FORMER ‘APPRENTICE’ KRISTI FRANK

Online entrepreneur Kristi Frank went from “You’re Fired” on Season One of ‘The Apprentice’ to “I’m Inspired” in her exciting and inspiring new reality – creating an online marketing site for stay-at-home mom’s just like her. Chosen by ‘The Donald’ to be in the first group of women ever to appear on NBC’s ‘The Apprentice,’ Kristi Frank left the show, got married, had a baby, and began working to become the new mentor for millionaire moms working at home.

By the age of 25, I had a degree in Engineering from USC and a real estate broker’s license. I’d already dealt in highly desirable Santa Monica real estate while earning money in my spare time dealing casino Blackjack. But I certainly wasn’t prepared for what was about to happen next. Chosen from over 250,000 applicants to appear in NBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ with Donald Trump – the first and still the highest rated season in the show’s history – I was happily running my successful Santa Monica restaurant when I took a shot at a New York long shot – ‘The Apprentice,’ created by Mark Burnett of ‘Survivor’ fame.

After hearing those dreaded two words directed from ‘The Donald’ to me, I was fortunate to take part in a whirlwind media tour, appearing as a guest on ‘Oprah’, ‘The View,’ ‘The Today Show,’ among many. I spoke privately with Barbara Walters and Katie Couric backstage, and on the way back home to Los Angeles, began to create a business plan for my next adventure. These days, when I’m not at home in Los Angeles or Park City, Utah with my husband and toddler son, you can catch me flying to and from marketing conferences across the country creating an online business specifically skewed to women. My sole intent is to empower “moms” with a soup-to-nuts online marketing business site that presents in a clear, linear format how to launch products and infomation online. But in the midst of developing my ultimate “mom’s” marketing web site, I thought I’d take pause and share some of the strategies for success I’ve employed in my own business and personal life.
