Said I wasn’t going to do this…

Posted by MaryPat on August 31st, 2010

You have heard me sharing my thoughts and experiences this summer about clearing the clutter and moving to a new home. You may have guessed but it’s time to share:

The reason I moved and am focusing on “space” is because I have
removed someone from my household. Yes, I am getting divorced.
And it’s not as joyous as some other women in this industry who
have shared similar experiences. It is heart-breaking, draining,
emotional, stressful, and exhausting. It is also liberating,
motivating and exciting!

But my reality this summer is this: while many of you may have
been struggling to work with the kids at home this summer, it
was everything in me to find a few hours each day to spend on
business. And then everything in me to find the energy and
motivation to do anything for my business.

And you may have noticed that things are still moving forward
for me. I am rebranding my site, launching some new programs
that are focused on how to build REAL-ationships ™ instead
of those fake ones just for a buck, and my cash-flow has even
increased this summer!

How is this possible?

Systems and an amazing team.

support Said I wasnt going to do this...

The truth is that I didn’t really do much of the work this
summer–my team team.

And they were able to because of the systems that we have in
place to implement ideas and track their success.

I want to extend my heart-felt gratitude to my amazing team
and my incredible friends. They have kept me feeling positive
and believing in myself.

As we move into the future, I may or may not share some of the
heart-wrenching lessons that made me stronger and made me
realize that it was time for me to soar–bigger than I have before.

This blog post is not what I intended, but it is. So I will let it be.

I guess there is a reason that it is this and I hope someone can benefit from this truth.

Sinde I have known you, I have beleived the attribute that defines you is your authenticity! Yes, this is a transitional, transformational, clutter-cleaning time for you, and you have so eloquently shared for your readers, followers, partners, friends, and especially those that know and love you, some of your feelings, challenges, and lessons that come out of experiences like this.

Your words give me more understanding of what it means to be human and that all things happen for a reason. Most things happen to challenge us, and allow for our own growth. This is what I feel you’re saying in this post.

Your team has been an incredible asset for you, keeping your business afloat, while you dealt with personal issues. Your friends, family, and faith have helped you regain your strength and confidence, while showing you the path and the steps needed for you to soar like never before.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, I believe every reader will find some wisdom in this post that will inspire them as well.

Excited for your success and happiness!

    Warmly,

    Steve Ulrich

We met at SF Entrepreneur’s Biz Tech Day in 2008.

My empathies and sympathies for the dissolution of your marriage. I have recently gone through one and despite the circumstances…it hurts.

Putting it simply…it is like enduring the death of a loved one (lost both my parents ten years ago).

I found that attending divorce support groups was very beneficial. Only individuals who have endured one can “get” what it is like.

    Blessings to you.
